It's been a while...

I really meant to blog much sooner than this, but we have been busy with swine flu, school, dentist appointments, and Christmas shopping. Rob has been traveling a lot in the past month, so once the kids are in bed at night I don't have much energy to do much besides push the buttons on the TV remote.

I did want to share some pics from Halloween though.

R in his dragon costume. When asked he said he was a "dragon with two wings". The "two wings" part was very important to him.

C in his astronaut costume. He really wanted a jet pack with it, so we made this together and he decorated it with stickers we found at the craft store.

R's "two wings".

We trick-or-treated with some friends of ours. Here they are descending upon our poor neighbors.

My boys with their cousins. We had planned a trip to Sturbridge Village for their Halloween event, but got rained out. It has rained three years in a row for that event. Last year we suffered through it, but decided to stay in this year.

My boys on our front step.

Hope everyone had a nice Halloween. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving- which we will be hosting this year.

Cooking

R and I made Halloween cookies the other day.

He loved rolling out the dough.

He loved eating the dough.

He watched the cookies as they baked.

He cut out more cookies with our pumpkin and ghost cookie cutters.

And he ate the cookies.

He actually stuck with the activity until the cookies were done. He is very focused when there is the promise of sweets.

First Post

We thought we would start a new family blog, since our Australia blog went over so well. It won't be as full of adventure as the Australia blog, but you will be able to keep up with our day to day meanderings.
This weekend we went to the Pumpkin Farm.

The weather has been gorgeous lately. We are so wishing it would just stay like this until spring. But we aren't in Oz anymore- and it will actually get cold in the winter. We are enjoying it while we can...
